The bait pump is the tool dedicated to harvesting sea worms (nereis, arenicola) on sand foreshore at low tide: by vacuum effect, it sucks up sand and reveals buried live worms. It's the traditional tool of surfcasters who prefer to harvest their own bait rather than buy it in shops.

You will find classic metal-body pumps (aluminium or stainless, 60 to 100 cm), PVC-tube body pumps (lighter, more economical), short pumps for kayak or mobile anglers (easy transport), and matched accessories (replacement handle, harvest tips, sorting bucket).
