The bouquetout is a circular handled net used for bouquet (rock pink shrimp) fishing in Brittany and the Channel. It's a regional variant of the havenet, sized and rigged specifically for this species. A traditional tool par excellence, witness to the richness of French coastal techniques adapted to local resources.
You will find traditional Breton bouquetouts (round frame, fine mesh net so as not to let the shrimp pass through, short to medium handle 50 to 100 cm), Norman and Picard variants (slight proportion differences), modern aluminium bouquetouts (lightweight alternative to traditional steel frame), and replacement parts (mesh nets in 6 to 10 mm depending on local practice).
This section is entirely composed of the Flashmer range.
