Beads are complementary parts that enhance a rig: they add colour, luminosity (phosphorescent beads), noise (clattering beads) or simply act as a buffer between two metal pieces. It's the detail that turns a basic drop-line into an attractant rig, and lets you customise a leader for specific conditions.
You will find classic coloured beads (red, yellow, green, in plastic or glass), phosphorescent beads (charged with a lamp for night fishing), noisy clattering beads (clackers to attract fish in tinted water), floating beads (which keep the hook off the bottom), and specialised beads for carp rigs.
