Split and welded rings provide the high-load connections between components (hook-lure, lure-main line, assist mounting). Copper and aluminium sleeves enable crimping of single-strand wires and fluorocarbons (knots aren't possible on these materials). It's the precision hardware of the serious angler.
You will find calibrated stainless split rings (size 0 to 14, strength 5 to 250 kg), stainless welded rings for the most demanding uses (big-game, extreme jigging), single and double copper sleeves for crimping wires and fluoros (from 30/100 to 200/100 line), aluminium sleeves for lighter crimps, and matched crimping pliers (in the Tools section).
