The weighted cage jig is specifically designed for catching large red squid.

The cage opens and closes quickly and easily, accommodating all types of baitfish (sardines, mackerel, horse mackerel, etc.). It features an ultra-sturdy XL basket capable of withstanding the incredible strength of large red squid. The sharp hooks even have barbs to prevent the fish from escaping!

Thanks to its attachment ring located on the underside, the weighted cage jig can accommodate an additional weight and/or a flashlight. By adding a sufficiently heavy weight, you’ll be able to fish for red squid at night from a boat at depths of 100 m or even during the day at depths of over 400 m.

Both the weight and the basket also feature a phosphorescent coating that attracts squid from great distances. Its brightness is even amplified tenfold by adding a flashlight!
