The Rafalea 118 SF Trefle Creation is a state-of-the-art articulated minnow. While this type of lure is usually difficult to cast, the Rafalea 118 SF achieves spectacular casting distances.

It features a revolutionary patented technology: the Avalanche Locking System (Avalanche Type Joint Movement Control System). The movable locking piece locks the tail in line with the body during the cast—allowing the lure to stay perfectly aligned like an arrow.

The Rafalea 118 SF is even one of the few lures of its kind equipped with a weight transfer system in the tail. Combined, these two technologies allow it to achieve exceptional casting distances for a jointed minnow.

Thanks to its articulated design, this minnow has a much wider and more natural swimming action than other lip-type lures. At low speeds, its swaying motion makes it resemble a weakened prey. The faster you retrieve it, the more the Rafalea 118 SF develops a pronounced rolling action. It handles all retrieval speeds, including the fastest. With its very fluid swimming action, this articulated minnow is ideal for targeting the most wary predators.

Thanks to its record-breaking casting distances and highly realistic action, the Rafalea 118 SF is also a perfect lure for light sea bass fishing—its designer, Iroshi Takahashi, originally created it specifically for this fish. Its very shallow swimming depth (0.5 m) is ideal for exploring shallow areas such as rocky ledges, flat beaches with cluttered bottoms, or for passing over dense weed beds without snagging.
