There are names that, in the small world of lure designers, are enough to spark the curiosity of seasoned anglers. Hiroshi Takahashi's is undoubtedly one of them. Anyone who has followed the evolution of Japanese lures over the past two decades will instantly recognise the signature of this craftsman-engineer, the man behind many of the references that shaped the identity of Lucky Craft, and later Illex during its most creative years.
Today, Takahashi is turning a new page. Free from the constraints of the big corporate names, he has founded his own house in Japan: Trefle Creation. A young brand still, but one that is gaining ground month after month — carried by the word of mouth of anglers who are discovering its models.
Why a clover? The choice is anything but accidental. Each of the three leaves embodies a specific commitment from the designer, a non-negotiable requirement in the brief of any lure that bears his name:
It is in the meeting of these three demands that every Trefle Creation lure takes shape. Not a compromise, not an average: a synthesis, patiently sought, model after model.
