The fishing knife is the angler's versatile tool: it preps bait (cutting sardines, octopus), guts harvest fish, cuts braid in an emergency, frees a hook stuck in waders' rubber. A good 440C-equivalent stainless steel blade keeps its edge despite use and saltwater contact.
