The bombette is a weighted float that serves both as casting weight and presentation platform: it lets you propel a light lure (spoon, soft lure, fly) at long distance, which is impossible with the lure alone. Widely used for trout fishing in reservoirs, chub fishing in rivers, and cast-and-retrieve fishing on the coast.

You will find floating bombettes (ideal for surface retrieve), sinking bombettes (mid-water and deep fishing), slow or fast bombettes (depending on desired fall speed), plus specialised models (transparent for clear waters, fluo for visibility). Weights span from 5 g for ultra-fine trout to 40 g+ for long-range coastal fishing.
