A curved hook point is more effective and catches more fish than a straight hook point!

The STX-60 features a “curved point,” but unlike conventional curved hooks, it is designed to be closer to a straight hook, which is effective at increasing hook-up rates. The curved point penetrates deeply and offers the advantage of a more reliable hook hold, even though it slides easily into the fish’s mouth and is difficult to penetrate at first.

However, the STX-60 is designed with a “wide gape” to increase hook-up rates. Additionally, the STX-60 features a short shank. By making the tapered section shorter, this part becomes thicker and stronger. On the other hand, a thick taper is difficult to penetrate, but the STX-60 features a “small lower barb” to facilitate penetration.
