The 3DB Wake Prop is a stocky swimbait featuring a large propeller at the tail. With its perpendicular lip—typical of a shallow runner—this lure swims just below the surface with a simple straight retrieve.

While the body remains just below the surface, the oversized propeller churns up a massive amount of water, creating a large wake, heavy splashes, and wide trails of bubbles.

Since the 3DB Wake Prop is articulated in two parts, its very wide trapezoidal lip gives it a powerful S-shaped swim with a strong side-to-side roll. This massive lure displaces a lot of water and generates significant pressure waves. Combined with the buzzing sound created by its large propeller, this lure creates maximum disturbance in the surface film to attract predators from very long distances.

Halfway between a wake bait and a propbait, the 3DB Wake Prop is an ultra-provocative lure. In open water, it performs best when retrieved fairly quickly—allowing you to cover vast areas in power fishing mode. Closer to structures, a slightly slower retrieve is recommended. Its subsurface swimming action allows you to fish shallow areas or those with cluttered bottoms (weeds, branches, etc.).

Since this so-called “reaction” lure generates very powerful stimuli, it tends to attract the finest predators and provoke impressive strikes!
