Weighted trolling line, ready to fish.

Mounted on a wooden reel with a cork strip to secure the hooks (the line is attached to the reel). Total length: +/- 60 m.

2 m of 50/100 nylon leader with a white jighead (size 3/0 hook).

Unroll the trolling line as you lower it into the water and check that it is securely attached to the line holder. A speed of 2 to 3 knots is sufficient. Attach the trolling line to the boat: jerks in the line indicate a catch. By varying the boat’s speed, you can fish at different depths.

If you get a bite, reel the trolling line back to the boat and unhook your catch (being careful not to get everything tangled up...)
