The keep net is the fish-holding container during coarse fishing, especially used in competition to keep fish alive until the final weigh-in. A good keep net respects the fish (soft mesh without scale-scraping, natural oxygenation), opens in seconds to add a catch, and withstands dozens of weigh-ins per season.
You will find keep nets compliant with FFPS competition rules (minimum length, certified mesh), recreational keep nets for classic coarse fishing, long keep nets for holding big fish (commercial lakes), and matched weigh-bags (soft pouches for individual catch weighing). Lengths span 2 m (short competition) to 4 m+ (commercial lakes).
