The American football-shaped design of this jig head is unique in that it prevents snags on rocky and cluttered bottoms.
Upon contact with rocks, the lure bounces forward and the hook remains pointing upward. While a conventional jig head may tip sideways, the Football Head will always land flat without tilting to the side, minimizing snags on the bottom (weeds, branches, etc.).
The shank features deep grooves ensuring a perfect hold on the soft lure (exclusive Lunker Grip® system). This weight reduction distributed throughout the lure’s body also gives the lure a smoother swimming action.
The ultra-sharp hook is strong enough to handle even the largest fish. This football jig head is ideal for all light vertical fishing with a Ribster-type worm, a creature bait like the Ozmo, a craw like the Crawbug, as well as for the most delicate scraping techniques.
