The Mirage JT 128 Trefle Creation is a swimbait of breathtaking realism! With an exceptional finish, it features highly lifelike color patterns and a scale pattern that looks more realistic than the real thing. The head even features a metallic coating for an even more lifelike appearance. The Mirage JT 128 produces a very natural S-shaped swimming action with a simple straight retrieve using a reel. The horizontal front attachment enhances this swimming action. When jerked, it veers off course with sharp lateral jerks while wobbling on its own axis. During pauses, it sinks slowly horizontally while wobbling on its own axis, just like a wounded prey would.
This swimbait features a highly innovative system that allows it to achieve record casting distances for a two-piece articulated lure: the pendulum lock system. This patented system is revolutionary because it locks the movable tail during the cast—allowing the lure to stay perfectly in line like an arrow. The Mirage JT 128 is even one of the few swimbaits equipped with a tungsten ball weight transfer system in the tail. Combined, these two technologies allow it to achieve exceptional casting distances for a swimbait.
The Mirage JT 128 is a perfect swimbait for predator fishing (pike, black bass, etc.). Note that its creator, Hiroshi Takahashi, originally designed it for saltwater use on large predators (sea bass, amberjack, barracuda, etc.)—which is rare for a swimbait
