The boilie is the reference bait of modern carp fishing: a sphere cooked from flour bases, scented and coloured, that resists pests (crayfish, bream) and retains attractiveness for hours in water. Diameter, scent and density (floating, dense, neutral) are the key choice parameters.
You will find boilies by scent (crustaceans, fish meal, milky / dairy, fruity / banana strawberry, boosted with liquid attractants), by diameter (10 mm for fine fishing, 14 to 16 mm standard, 20 to 24 mm for big subjects), by density (dense for bottom fishing, floating for pop-up over a bait carpet, neutral for natural presentations), and specialised boilies (winter mix for cold water, summer mix for hot summer).
