The Hitch Hiker spring is an ingenious accessory that ensures the soft plastic lure is perfectly secured and centered on a Texas rig hook with an inline eye. The soft plastic lure is screwed directly onto the front of this coil spring, ensuring a secure hold. With a standard Texas rig, the lure is held in place by only a small surface area on the hook bend. It is therefore common for this part to tear under the pressure of the current, during the cast, or during a missed strike—rendering the soft lure unusable. The lure can also slide down the shank. It then becomes completely ineffective, and you “ruin” the spot unnecessarily.

With the Hitch Hiker, the lure is held perfectly in place and stays secure even under the strongest tension. It prevents the lure from tearing and keeps it intact for much longer. You can now cast with confidence to reach promising spots. Its joint at the Texan rig’s eye also ensures the soft lure flexes properly under the pressure of the predator’s jaws, allowing for optimal release of the hook point.

The Hitch Hiker fits all types of soft lures and all Texas rigs with inline eyes (with or without a weight on the shank) as it is available in two sizes: M (14 mm) and L (18 mm). An essential accessory for all your Texas rigs that you won’t be able to do without!
