Hard lures (hard baits) imitate a forage fish through their shape, colour and action: they swim as the rod is worked, dive to a depth calibrated by the lip, and trigger reflex strikes from predators. It's the most versatile lure family, available as jerkbaits, crankbaits, swimbaits, stickbaits, poppers and minnows.
You will find floating and suspending hard baits for surface fishing for sea bass, bass and trout, deep-diving models for prospecting in depth, jerkbaits for pike fishing in winter (jerky animation), stickbaits for inshore pelagics, poppers for noisy surface work, and articulated swimbaits for big predators. Diving depths are systematically annotated (from 0.5 m to 8 m+).
This section is led by Yo-Zuri (Japanese, the absolute reference on hard baits), complemented by Trèfle Création (hard baits), Heddon, Bomber, Duel, Freedom, Tailwalk, Crazee, Creek Chub, Scratch Tackle, Arbogast, Cotton Cordell on the other references. The Flashmer range covers more standard references.
