Détails
The bombette technique offers numerous advantages for trout fishing. First and foremost, it allows you to cast small, lightweight soft lures—such as a shad or grub (a few centimeters long), small plug lures (e.g., Yo-Zuri Pin’s Minnow), or even live bait like a moth or a worm—over long distances. This makes it possible to fish for salmonids in large bodies of water such as reservoirs, high-altitude lakes, or very wide rivers.
The bombette has the unique feature of having a variable density depending on whether it is semi-sinking or sinking. For bombettes of the same weight (e.g., 20 g), the sinking rate will therefore differ. Similarly, the retrieval speed required to stay in the same water column will be faster with a sinking model than with a semi-sinking one. Having several models of Flashmer bombettes (floating, semi-sinking, sinking) in different weights will therefore allow you to adapt to all terrain conditions as well as the mood of the fish.
