The Crystal Minnow DD reflects daylight beautifully, making the lure highly attractive even in murky water.
Particularly effective when trolled (between 3 and 5 knots), it can easily be used for casting and retrieving.
Its large lip allows it to dive very quickly to reach its ideal swimming depth without coming off the hook.
As a floating lure, it allows you to target all water layers using a pattern such as: slow and steady retrieval, punctuated by stop-and-go. Fish often hold in water layers that are impossible to reach with a classic minnow.
Boasting all the characteristics of the famous Yo-Zuri Crystal range, the Deep Diver’s long bill allows it to fish deeper, whether casting or trolling.
Cast fishing: Casting a good distance unlike other longbill minnows, the Deep Diver will quickly reach the desired depths. Its sturdy lip allows it to “scrape” soft bottoms or bounce off rocks and branches while “bottom tapping” without snagging. You can also take advantage of its high buoyancy to retrieve it using a stop-and-go retrieve. It will then adopt a zigzagging swim, vibrating intensely on the descent and wobbling as it rises.
Trolling: The Deep Diver is excellent for light coastal trolling for sea bass, pollock, bonito, etc. With a very consistent swimming action when towed between 3 and 5 knots, it stays on course without veering off and emits powerful vibrations without putting too much strain on the rod. Its large lip allows it to dive very quickly to reach its optimal swimming depth (between 2 and 4 m).
